Policy/handbook for ABC LEARN TUTORING 2024
PRE-K-4TH GRADE READING TUTORING SERVICES
I appreciate you making the decision to partner with me in helping your child build a solid foundation in reading. Below I have a description of our tutoring sessions and the expectations from me, the student and you all as the parents/caregivers.
Sessions:
-tutoring sessions can be either 30 minutes or 1 hour maximum
-I will have an agenda that is tailored to each of my students’ needs.
-I will provide the necessary tools and materials needed for each session
-tutoring sessions will be held at the library that we decide upon or via Zoom
Expectations of the tutor:
-I will respect your child and connect with your child so they can have the best tutoring experience each session
-I will start the tutoring sessions at the time we agreed upon
-I will have a prepared lesson and hw ready for each session
-I will have the necessary tools and materials needed for each session
-I will communicate via text or email;calling if that’s what you as the parent prefer
-I will keep you informed regularly about your child’s progress
Expectations of the student and parents/caregivers
-you as the parent must be sure to have your child at each session that we agreed upon
-your child must come prepared with their notebook, pencil and phone/ipad/laptop(fully charged)
-your child must bring their hw completed to each session
-your child must be respectful and ready to learn at all times
-you as the parent can stay to observe the first session if you so choose, after that you must go in the waiting area for subsequent sessions.
Cancellation policy
-At least 24 hours notice is highly encouraged when you need to cancel a session. However, I understand things happen so please text me immediately if you know you won’t be able to bring your child.
-If you do not let me know within 3 hours of the session then, you will be charged for the whole session.
